Sprouting appreciation for the Brussels...

For all you naysayers, if I can convert Jake, you too can be converted... as I posted in my teaser, this is my bonus and last recipe for Thanksgiving (or just whenever)...
Brussels Sprout
LOTS OF GREAT PICS AND WHAT I DID AFTER THE JUMP...
It all began with the following preparation exercises...
Trimming the stalk
Trimming the stem
Cutting in quarters and readying for the assembly
So now that the B-Sprouts are cut, trimmed and ready, it's time to add the rest of the stuff... starting with the single ingredient that caused Jake to consider trying it...
Bacon before it was crumbled
Then the lemon zest...
Zesting with a micro-plane
If you don't have a micro-plane... SHAME ON YOU!!!

Next the grated Parmesan cheese was added...
Expert Parmesan Cheese Scattering Technique
And once all this was done, the dressing of equal parts lemon juice, olive oil, salt and cracked pepper was whisked together...
Lemon Juice and Olive Oil Emulsion
And finally all tossed together...
Bringing it ALL together!
Yes, we did have a dinner with this, but it also included some heirloom tomatoes and grilled Bratwurst.... YUMMY!!!
Dinner is served!!!
In conclusion, I'd like to thank my MAN Jake for taking these amazing pictures when he could have been playing on Instagram instead!!! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I'd like to say I'm thankful for him...
Jake and me...
... and my beautiful boys...
Me and my boys... Christmas 2010
AND I'M THANKFUL FOR YOU AND ALL THE LOVE YOU'VE SHOWN AS I'VE LAUNCHED THIS BLOG!!!

STAY TUNED, TOMORROW IN HONOR OF THANKSGIVING JAKE IS GOING TO POST A PHOTO ESSAY OF THANKFULNESS...
