The Loft

Jake here. You know, this blog isn't exclusively limited to food and wine. We're committed to discussing the quality of life---of which, admittedly, food and wine play prominent roles.

Also prominent---to me---is photography. It stimulates imagination. It enhances memory. It saturates a black and white world, for those of us too distrustful of our own minds to revel in the moment and let it drain away without any digital record. Then, if we're brave, we drain the color back out of the photograph and let the black and white version of what we've seen stimulate the imagination.

Getting my new Canon lenses tonight. Should be interesting to see all that I've still to learn...
