Get some SPARKLES and escape the CRAZIES!!!

It's Friday the 23rd. By this time ya'll probably have all the recipes you need, and (should) know what you're doing for Christmas feasts. Hanukkah feasting began two days ago and goes for several more days, so that should also be rolling along smoothly!

So, rather than provide more recipes, I'll save them for when you're actually hungry and craving again LOL. In the meantime, let's talk about traditions old and new and the art of living well.

When Jake and I first got together, we discovered a mutual love for picnicking. So for our first Christmas I got him a picnic backpack...
Jake and his picnic pack
Needless to say, it now plays a very active role in our lives. We've picnicked multiple times including Easter for two years now; I suspect that will continue as one of our new traditions. But our first annual tradition is one that we are both looking forward to, and I've already gotten the supplies for this year.

Being that we are both winos, of course it includes a grape product, more importantly a sparkling grape product, and even more importantly a French sparkling grape product...
A bottle, a glass and a bread-stick
This is all there is to it: Jake, me, a bottle of the Widow, real glasses (not some picnic plastic thing) and bread-sticks.  We load up in Hans, and head out to a rock somewhere, pop the cork and soak it all in.

So in honor of my ART OF LIVING WELL mission, I'm encouraging you to find that little something that is simple, special, and takes you away for a few minutes to savor life.
CHEERS and happy Friday!
