Wine Tasting in Temecula #3 - Picnic at Vitagliano

As our day of tasting progressed I wanted a focused tasting (Palumbo) to kick it off, then lunch (Vitagliano), then the final two winery tastings - Bailey and Keyways.

For lunch we contracted with our fantastic French Chef - Celine's Cuisine.... sadly we didn't capture any pictures of her fantastic fresh baked baguette sandwiches, nor her cookies, nor her rosemary pound cake, but we have some awesome pics to tell the story of this stop...
Vitagliano
Vitagliano Vineyards is one of my clients. I've been working with them to get their winery tasting room put together - hoping it opens late summer. But in the meantime, it's a fantastic wedding/event center and we picnicked on their lake...
Picnicking Lake Side
We cracked a few bottles of their (soon to release) Unoaked Chardonnay and had a great lunch... if you don't believe me, check these out...

Lunch Spot
If you ask me this is one of the most beautiful properties in Temecula... they have multiple fire-pit tables alongside the lake... a great place to chill for lunch...
L-R, David, Jim, Dan
Of course, to reiterate... Casey didn't know where we were - it's called cellphone hypnosis... LOL
Sure hope he was texting a good pic of me!
Also, true-to-form, Robert the flirt/charm...
Robert just can't help but draw you into his charm-web, even with dark shades on!
Food, a cold bottle of water, and a rest was the perfect remedy for Jim...
Hey WHERE'S MY SANDWICH???
Tom was smart enough to get down to the little dock and soak up the beauty of this place...
Sexy BACK!
And soaking up beauty was in order....
Flowers...s
and the pick of the day...
Flowers and honey bee
And more flowers... where's David when I need him, he probably knows what every one of these flowers are. But in any event, we had a fantastic picnic lunch and all piled back in the monster limo for stop number three - Library tasting with Phil Bailey...
Phil Bailey
Wait until you see the extraordinary vertical tasting he did of his library Meritage wines... WOW is all I can say!

I leave you with this!
