Crab Cakes WIN! Now for the wine...

This is fun, have had quite a few views! Crab Cakes 1st, Flourless Cake 2nd, and might I add, they were the better pictures too... hmmm wonder how important good photography is?

Now there's a quick survey on the right side of the blog... pick the wine that won't work with Crab Cakes. Once the poll is over, I'll explain why the loser was a loser, although it's never truly gonna be a loser!

  1. I am a celiac, so I enjoy my flourless chocolate cake and wine! I have found some GF panko that is bomb in crab cakes; even better than the cracker. Rumba I used to use 20 years ago. The panko is from Kinnikinuk; available at Gerrard's, Clark's, and online. Deliciously crispy!

  2. Thanks Maggie! I'll have to hunt down that GF Panko. There are tons of gluten and lactose intolerant folk out there; there's no reason not to enjoy beautiful food in spite of dietary concerns! I'm gonna hunt down a big California style Cabernet to pair with the flourless cake - love playing with chocolate and Cabs...

  5. Thank, you, Patrick! I have a great market down the street filled with food and wine (Gerrard's)--you and Jake would love it. It's better than Gelson's and the wine guy (Bob) loves to go tasting and buying. He'll buy several cases and sell two for one, plus a penny--love our Bob. I will try the crab cakes; they look fantastic and colorful.
