Breakfast in Temecula - French Style!

This is the first post on our Mood Wine - Flame the Vines weekend in Temecula. We wanted to offer an experience that was a notch above the ordinary. I hired Celine's Cuisine to do two of our breakfasts and the picnic lunch on our day of wine tasting (FRESH BAKED FRENCH BAGUETTES!)

The magic of Facebook and social media is how I discovered her. She's an active member of one of the food groups I'm in... Palm Springs Healthy Eating and Living.

TRUST ME, CELINE'S FOOD WAS WAY ABOVE THE NORM!

Here are some of the breakfast items she prepared for us...
Canelé Bordelais
The Canelé Bordelais were my favorites... I snacked and snacked and snacked on them! Here's a brief description:

"A canelé is a small French pastry with a soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust. The dessert, which is in the shape of small, striated cylinder approximately two inches in height, is a specialty of the Bordeaux region of France but can often be found in Parisian patisseries as well. Made from egg, sugar, milk and flour flavored with rum and vanilla, the custard batter is baked in a mold, giving the canelé a caramelized crust and custard-like inside."

Celine also baked these wonderful little scones...
Strawberry Scones
Needless to say these got gobbled up fast!

Another breakfast item was the mini quiche...
Goat Cheese Basil Quiche
These were just three of the several items she prepared for our breakfasts. She did several other items too, but I didn't get pictures of all of them - must tell Jake to get them all next time! They were a HUGE HIT! Trust me, if Celine is available she will totally be a caterer I will use for our wine country retreats in Temecula!

If you want to track down her recipes all you have to do is visit her website - Celine's Cuisine. Celine also has a fun cookbook that you can order online, or from a list of several stores stores....
